Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree programme recognized by the World Higher Education Database (WHED)
- Fields of study should relate to FAO's mandate, including agriculture, nutrition, food security, environment, economics, and related disciplines
Age and Nationality
- Aged 21–30 years at the time of application
- National of an FAO member country
Language Requirements
- Working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish)
- Knowledge of a second FAO language is an advantage
Additional Requirements
- Ability to adapt to international multicultural environments
- Strong communication skills
Priority Consideration

Programme Objectives
The internship is designed to:

Interns will work according to Terms of Reference (TOR) provided by their assigned supervisor. Assignments are tailored to match the candidate's academic background with organizational needs.

Financial Support
FAO provides a monthly stipend for interns who are not sponsored by a university or other entity.

- No fees are charged for application or during the recruitment process

- Previous FAO interns are not eligible to apply
- Candidates with family members currently employed at FAO are ineligible
